Summer Camp Residents present Potluck
This is the culmination of the work residents completed in the Summer Camp Residency hosted by the Marion Nicoll Gallery in 2021.
Ten artists gathered virtually through out the summer; creating relationships and community while hanging out in a relaxed space with their peers. There were many discussions about food, culture and making, and this is where the theme of potluck came about in the exhibition. We acknowledge the care and tenderness that comes from participating in communities and being with others. All of the residents then brought their work to the potluck, ready to share and celebrate together.

About the Residency
Summer Camp Residency is a residency for racialized artists from the AuArts community. Together through out the summer they met and shared feelings, ideas and knowledge with each other and attended artist talks from alumni. Potluck is the show that resulted from this program. To learn more about the 2022 call for participants for this residency you can email Jasmine at mng.sa@auarts.ca.
